Obituary of Frank Kostecki

Frank Edward Kostecki, Sr., 83 Frank E. Kostecki, Sr., 83, of West Orange passed on Monday, February 15, 2016. Visiting will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM. at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frank's name to: Wounded Warriors, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 8:30 AM at the Funeral Home, followed by a 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Frank was born and raised in Newark, living in West Orange and Asbury before moving back to West Orange. He was a part specialist working for General Motors in Bloomfield. Mr. Kostecki proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957, during the Korean War where he was awarded with the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Army of OCC Medal Japan. Frank was a lifetime member of the West Orange Elks BPOE 1590, VFW , Livingston American Legion Post 201, and was a member of the United Auto Workers, where he served as Chief Shop Stewart. Frank was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Kostecki (nee Raftery). Devoted father of Catherine Lodge and her husband Donald, Linda Jones, Joseph and his wife Lori, Mary Kostecki, James, Gloria Kostecki, Daniel and his wife Tammy, Nancy Kostecki, and the late Frank Jr. Loving brother of James and his wife Dorothy, and the late Marge, Mary, Eleanor, Florence, John and George. Cherished grandfather of Nancy, Danielle, Joseph, Thomas, Michael, Kennedy, Justin, and Kristen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews
