Obituary of John Anthony Lee

John A. "Jack" Lee, 86 On February 17, 2016 John "Jack" Lee, 86, passed into eternal rest peacefully. Visiting will be held on Sunday February 21, 2016 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange from 2 to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to; West Orange Scholarship Fund, c/o Jim Quinn, 290 Araneo Drive, West Orange, NJ 07052. A 10:00 AM Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Saint Joseph's Church, 44 Benvenue Ave. in West Orange. Cremation will be private. Jack was the beloved husband of 60 years of Grace Lee (nee Romano). He was a devoted father of Theresa Washkewicz and her husband Joseph, Barbara Ievoli and her husband Michael and cherished grandfather of Jacklyn Poulos and Eric Washkewicz. He is predeceased by his parents, John B. and Matilda (nee Monteverdi) and his brother Richard. Born in Orange, Jack lived his whole life in West Orange. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. A licensed electrical contractor, Jack was Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for the West Orange Public School System for 25 years. He then became Director of Physical Plant for Seton Hall University. Jack was an avid golfer, woodworker and race car enthusiast. He was a former member of Rock Spring Country Club and the West Orange Lions Club.
