Obituary of Thomas Joseph Columbo

Thomas Joseph "Tommy" Columbo, 41 Thomas J. "Tommy" Columbo, 41, of West Orange passed away suddenly on Sunday April 3, 2016. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 2 to 6 PM, with Funeral Services at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tommy's name to: Valerie Fund, 2101 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, NJ 07040. Tommy was born in Livingston and was a lifelong resident of West Orange. He was a Firefighter for the Township of West Orange before retiring. Tommy was a 1993 graduate of West Orange High School, where he played Varsity Hockey for 4 years, a passion that continued on with Adult Amateur Teams for more than 10 years. He also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English from Rutgers University. He was a member of Local #28 Firefighters Association. Tommy was the devoted son of Joanne Werner and her husband Steve, and Joseph Columbo. Loving brother of Nicole Columbo, Jennifer Moore, and Steven Werner Jr. Cherished Uncle of Kira, Rowan, and Milo. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tommy was a kind and loving man and will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.
