Obituary of Mary Irene Hopler

Mary Irene Hopler,98 Mary Irene Hopler (nee Gallagher), 98, of West Orange passed away on Thursday October 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her home in West Orange. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 3 to 7 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's name to; Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center 95 Old Short Hills Road, 1st Fl West Orange, NJ 07052 Mary was born in Newark, and raised in East Orange before moving to West Orange in 1985. She worked in the Accounting Department of Shulton Industries. Mary was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Orange as well as helping out at the Pease and Good Corner. Mary was also a member of the West Orange Senior Citizens, and the West Orange Pleasantdale Senior Citizens. Mary was the beloved wife of the late John D. Hopler. Devoted mother of John F. and his wife Camille, Thomas and his wife Linda, Joseph and his wife Joanne, William and his wife Kathryn Ann Byrnes, and the late Robert and Francis. Mother in law of Rosemary Baram. Loving sister of Noreen Meyers, and the late Doris McManus, Thomas, and Jean Gallagher. Devoted grandmother of Michele, Jacqueline, Jeanine, Amy, Kelly, Joseph, and Robert. Loving great grandmother of Carly, Amelia, Gina, Joseph, Gracie, Ella, Joe, Olivia, Emily and Madison.
