Obituary of Michael Chiaramonte
Michael Chiaramonte Jr., 72
Michael Chiaramonte Jr., 72 , of Bloomfield passed away on Wednesday April 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday April 9, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's name to Atlantic Hospice, 465 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday April 10, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Michael was born on December 24, 1944 in Newark and raised in West Orange, before moving to Bloomfield. He proudly served in the United States military for 281/2 years. Graduated from West Orange High School and attended Bloomfield College.
Michael was the beloved husband of 49 years to JoAnne (Catalano) Chiaramonte and devoted father of Christine Noble and her husband Daniel, and Michael J. Chiaramonte. He was the cherished grandfather of Cerena, Gabrielle, Dylan, Savannah, David, Natalie Chiaramonte and Alexander Noble. Loving brother of Richard Chiaramonte and his wife Annette.
Michael was the loving uncle of Patricia Merwin and her husband Brendan, Karen Chiaramonte, Anthony Moretti, Jr. and Richard Chiaramonte and his wife Donna, great uncle of Bryce and Cameron Merwin, Anthony Moretti III and Jessica and Joseph Chiaramonte. Michael was the nephew of Ann and John Pflug, Vito Napolitano and Antonette Catalano, as well as many deceased members of the Chiaramonte, Catalano, Napolitano & Rizzo families. He is survived by a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Michael was a member of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Lourdes, Bloomfield Knights of Columbus Council #1178, 4th Degree Assembly Saint Issac Jogues , Montclair St. Sebastian Society, Naturale's Senior Softball, Bloomfield Senior Citizens, Knights of Columbus Bowling League, Clifton Senior Prime Timers, Usher at Our Lady of Lourdes, Coordinator for the Bloomfield Columbiettes and coached the Bloomfield Little League.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Louise and Michael Chiaramonte Sr. and Catherine and Joseph Catalano.
