Obituary of George Arthur Massaker
George Arthur Massaker Sr., 90
George A. Massaker Sr., 90, of Hudson FL, formerly of West Orange for 30 years passed away on Friday October 13, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 19, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in George's name to; Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com.
A Funeral Service will be offered on Friday October 20, 2017 at10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 315 Main Street in West Orange. Interment will follow at Shawnee Cemetery in Plymouth PA.
George was born and raised in Plymouth PA, and lived in West Orange before moving to Hudson FL. He was the mechanical engineer working for Organon Pharmaceutical in West Orange, prior to that he worked for General Electric in Springfield for 30 years. George was president of the AFL-CIO local union for General Electric. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Roseland, and a member of the American Legion in Plymouth PA. Mr. Massaker proudly served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII an Korea.
George was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Massaker (nee White). Devoted father of Robin Massaker and her wife Kathy Stevens, and George MAssaker Jr. and his wife Christi. Loving brother of the late Morgan Massaker. Cherished grandfather of Amanda and Paige.
