My deepest sympathy to Pete's family. He was my barber for 20+ years, and he will be missed very much. Always patient and meticulous, he did a great job every time. We would talk about our families, and although we have not met, I feel like I know you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the Carlucci family. Pete was a trusted and valued friend for 15 years — in addition to being my barber for that period. He was truly a voice of reason and an inspiration. He spoke highly and lovingly of his twins daughters and always looked forward to visiting them. I will miss Pete. Heck, I’ve missed him since he retired some months ago. I will treasure my memories of Pete. Rest In Peace, my friend.

To the Carlucci family I offer my most sincere and heartfelt condolences. Pete was my barber and my friend since I was a child growing up in South Orange. For over 30 years (with a couple breaks for college and NYC) that Pete was my barber, we shared thousands of laughs, family stories and the occasional town gossip. My father and other family members were customers over the years, and Pete was always eager to get family updates. Pete was a fixture in South Orange and I will miss our chats when I had the privilege of sitting in his barber chair. Rest in peace my friend.

Peter was my barber for 34 years. He was a rare constant in my life. I met him when I was first married and we moved to South Orange. Through job changes, moves out of state, and all of life's changes Pete was always there and glad to see me when I came in. He had a list of the same jokes and funny sayings that he would repeat for decades but they never got old. We would often talk about life and he was always in a good mood. I will miss seeing my friend. He loved life and his family very much.

To The Carlucci Family, I was deeply saddened to read of Pete's passing. We first met when he started working in South Orange,on Vose Ave with another barber. I had to obtain emergency information for the SOPD business files. I soon became a customer & stayed with him up until last February when he retired. Over the past many years we became friends & shared a lot of stories together. I haven't had a haircut since he closed shop as I now live in Point Pleasant & know no barber down here. He will be hard to replace. While I have not had the pleasure of meeting any of you, I truly feel we will see him again in a better place. My deepest sympathies to all of you. & may he rest in peace. Sincerely, William E.Young Sr. Retired Lt. South Orange Police

As a longtime customer of Pete this news saddens me. He was a great barber who loved interacting with his customers and getting my hair cut will never be the same in the future.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of “Pete”. He was my barber for 27 years, and our relationship went beyond the normal barber/customer one. We would talk about our children, our vacations, business pros and cons, and life in general. He was never shy about sharing his opinions, and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations.
I last saw Pete in January; and when I showed up at Moods in Hair in early February for my usual haircut, I was surprised when the owner told me Pete had abruptly retired. I shall miss him and think of him with great fondness. May his memory be for a blessing.
Sincerely,
Aaron Nierenberg

Pete always said "If I cut it too short, it will grow. If I missed one, I will get it next time." I wish there was a next time.

To the Family
We were so so sad to read in the paper that Pete passed away.
My husband went in December just before Christmas to get his hair cut. He came home very upset telling me that Pete didn't look good and appeared to have lost weight. He then read on Facebook that Pete retired. My husband has been going to Pete for 35 years. I started taking my son when he was 5! He's 42 years old. Pete and I would talk about everything, our family, the world events, South Orange , and traveling. Pete was one in a million. He was such a funny guy. Our family will miss him very much. After Pete retired my husband had his first hair cut with Pete not doing it. My husband Paul said my hair cuts will never be the same without Pete! My family and I offer our condolences to you. Your husband and Dad was a great man!! Not an easy time for you all. Take care

Rest In Peace Uncle Pete. You will be forever missed and always loved. I will never forget your awesome Italian accent, and the smiles and laughter you brought to everyone's faces. I will I never forget how in awe I was with how much pasta fagoli you were able to eat in one sitting. You were the first person that ever introduced me to a cockatiel and remember you always feeding and taking him out of the cage and I always wanted one after that. Thank you for always forgiving us for all the trouble we made at the house, especially when we put holes in your walls. Rest In Peace. God bless you. My heart goes out to all my cuz, family and friends.

To my family,
Aside from feeling that I lost my Dad, AGAIN, I can feel your grief.
Pop was the funniest guy I knew, and I loved being around him. #Jooooo! #itsnotcoldenoughinhere
I was eternally grateful to him for treating me no different than his own daughters. I will never forget the treasured memories from Tip-Tam, and for him allowing me to be there year after year. Decades later, he was also able to cherish our kids as he had done us.
I take comfort in knowing that he is now with my Mom and Dad, and doing shots of Sambuca and Ouzo.
May he rest in eternal peace.
Love you all,
Maria, Sofia, and Kosta
