Obituary of JoAnne Marie Chiaramonte
JoAnne M. Chiaramonte, 77, of Clifton passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in JoAnne’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Cremation will be private.
JoAnne was born on February 26, 1946 in Montclair and raised in West Orange, before moving to Bloomfield and then Clifton. JoAnne graduated from West Orange High School and attended Berkley Secretarial School, East Orange. JoAnne was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Michael Chiaramonte and devoted mother of Christine Noble and her husband Daniel, and Michael J. Chiaramonte. she was the cherished grandmother of Cerena, Gabrielle, Dylan, Savannah, David, Natalie Chiaramonte and Alexander Noble. Loving sister of Annette Chiaramonte and her husband Richard. JoAnne was the loving aunt of Patricia Merwin and her husband Brendan, Karen Mendoza and her husband Jonathan, and Richard Chiaramonte. Great aunt of Bryce and Cameron Merwin, Anthony Moretti III and Jessica and Joseph Chiaramonte. JoAnne was the niece of Ann and John Pflug, as well as many deceased members of the Chiaramonte, Catalano, Napolitano & Rizzo families. She is survived by a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
JoAnne was a member of the Bloomfield and Clifton Columbiettes, Bloomfield Seniors, West Orange Pleasantdale Seniors and was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Lourdes.
JoAnne worked for Oetiker for many years and presently was employed at Bloomfield College.
JoAnne was predeceased by her parents, Catherine and Joseph Catalano and her husband, Michael Chiaramonte.
